Job Description

CAMHS Practitioner Band 6/7 – CAMHS Team – Leicestershire - £25.00 - £28.00 per hour 
We are looking for experienced CAMHS Practitioner to join a CAMHS Outpatient Team in Leicestershire area, with Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) training as an essential requirement, to deliver the ADOS assessments including providing the report therefore it is essential that the professional has skills and experience in carrying this assessment out.  Either NMC or HCPC registered Band 6 or above – full time 37.5 hours per week. 

You will be considered for these roles if you are Mental Health RMN, Primary Mental Health Professionals, CAMHS Practitioners, CAMHS Social Worker, CAMHS Nurse, CAMHS RMN, CAMHS Therapist, CBT Therapist, Family Therapist, CBD Therapist, Psychologist, or Mental Health Nurses

This vacancy has an initial 3 month contract.

This role will include:
  • CAMHS tier 3 or tier 2
  • Band  6 and 7
  • To be responsible for a caseload of complex assessment, treatment and consultation work with children, adolescents and their families, with problems of behavioral, emotional, psychological or mental health issues.
  • To operate as a member of the multidisciplinary team providing child and mental health services, contributing to both the generic and specialist work of the multidisciplinary Tier 3 CAMHS team
  • To work in ways which are sensitive to and appropriate for the needs of families from a wide range of racial, cultural and religious backgrounds
  • This includes abilities to understand and offer therapeutic interventions to a variety of family forms including single parents, same sex couples and their families, extended families and people with mental health difficulties.
  • Multi agency and partnership working
  • Responsible for assessing and delivering intervention to children, young people, up to 18 years old, and their families/carers in relation to a range of highly complex emotional, psychological and behavioural problems.
  • The post-holder will work within professional guidelines and under the supervision of the senior clinicians of own core profession
  • Therapeutic skills in areas such as CBT, DBT, systemic, arts therapy, etc.

  • 37.5 hours weekly
  • Ability to managing a mixture of complex cases which could  involve various complexities such as ADHD, ASD School observations, ODD, OCD, depression, psychosis, anger management, eating disorders, low self esteem, sleeping difficulties, emotion difficulties, relationship difficulties, anxiety, Self-harm etc.
Relevant social work qualification, e.g. CQSW, CSS, DipSW, nursing, OT qualification or NVQ 4 (Care), HNC (Social Care), or HNC Care Management. You must be professionally registered in the area you wish to work - SSSC for Scotland, CCW for Wales, NISCC for Northern Ireland or HCPC for England; and be eligible to work in the UK. Strong post-qualified Children and Families experience is also required.
